Yes — many members combine part-time work or caring with u3a activities. What if I don’t know anyone? Most people join alone. Groups are welcoming and it’s easy to make friends. |

Many groups meet in local pubs or restaurants, so it’s a cost of a drink to support the venue. Where a meeting room is booked, costs of venue hire are shared among group members. |
