Short Course: Artificial Intelligence for Everyone

3 Sessions on Wednesday afternoons 2:30pm to 4:30pm

AI can transform how we use our devices. New tools on personal computers, smart phone and tablets are making tasks easier — from writing and editing documents, to image creation, organisation, searching, and data handling. Our aim is to open your eyes to what's possible, and to help you start using these new tools with confidence.

You are only likely to benefit if you can already:

• Create and edit emails on a computer, tablet, or phone
• Use Google search or similar
• Copy and paste text or images

There will be practical group-based exercises to complete so this is not a course where you can sit back and watch someone else do all the work. Between the sessions there will be some homework designed to practice new skills.

Ideally all participants will bring a fully charged laptop, tablet or possibly a smart phone to the course. We certainly do not want to exclude anyone who only access the internet from home computers. Therefore, we may ask some to share their screen time on the day.

There will be a charge of £15, primarily to cover cost of room hire. Refunds on cancellation only if we are able to fill your place with another member. Ideally you will be free to attend all three sessions.

There will be a break for refreshments.
