Walk the River Wharfe (1) Addingham

This series of 5 walks is aimed at the casual walker or those wanting to explore a new environment at a safe gentle pace with stops to enjoy the views. Book on one walk or book on them all!

Walking at a gentle pace we will leave the centre of Addingham and walk to High Mill situated on the River Wharfe. From here we will take the Dales Way footpath and follow the River to Low Mill before returning to Addingham. Most of the route will be on hard surfaces using pavements and almost traffic free roads.

The section of Dales Way footpath from High Mill to Bark Lane is steep, and goes through a wooded area with uneven surfaces and steps. This area can be muddy during wet weather. An alternative route can be made available for those wishing to avoid this section. Please discuss with the walk organiser.

Please wear comfortable, appropriate footwear for the terrain and appropriate clothing for the weather on the day. You may wish to carry a cold drink with you.

The Hub is situated above the Library. The entrance is to the rear of the property

Bus stops are situated outside the Library.

Cars may be parked in the Memorial Hall Car park. Pay and display car parking is available in the village on Main Street and Bolton Road.
