The Saturday Talk - Mobile Police Museum

  • 17 Jan 2026
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Main Hall, Clarke Foley, Cunliffe Road, Ilkley, LS29 9DZ

The Mobile Police Museum is like no other. It is a travelling exhibition - a mobile museum for all ages with no glass cases and no "do not touch" or "no entry" signs. This museum passes 95% of the rare and valuable exhibits among the audience.

David Hardcastle has spent all his working life in customer service of one form or another, beginning with 10 years in retail and retail management. Followed by 20 years as a constable with West Yorkshire Police having spent 2 years prior as support staff and a special constable. During his 20 years of full time service he worked on patrol, as a tutor constable to new officers and in Roads Policing or as us older "Bobbies" called it, "Traffic". This gives him the gift of being able to draw on experiences good and bad, to help bring into his presentations more realism and a connection to many or the exhibits shown, some of which were personally used "in action".

Entrance is FREE

Free tea or coffee and a biscuit served from 10.00 when the doors open. The talk starts promptly at 10.30.
