  • 15 Feb 2025
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Main Hall, Clarke Foley, Cunliffe Road, Ilkley, LS29 9DZ
Becky Austin

Hedgehogs are Britain's favourite mammal, but they are drastically declining in numbers. However, there is a lot we can do to help and save this lovely animal.

Becky Austin, who has set up a group called Bingley Hedgehog Heroes, will tell us more about the animals, their habits and environment, and what needs to be done generally and what we can do to protect hedgehogs in our gardens.

BIO: Becky has worked in conservation since 2013 mainly in Scotland for the RSPB as an assistant warden - first at Loch Lomond and then on the Orkney Isles. She has also worked for Yorkshire Wildlife Trust supporting volunteers and as a reserves assistant in the Yorkshire Dales. Having had to stop working for health reasons she discovered Hedgehog Street and now uses her time to champion hedgehogs. She is currently creating a wildlife garden at home.

Entrance is FREE

Free tea or coffee and a biscuit served from 10.00 when the doors open. The talk starts promptly at 10.30.

You are welcome to bring a friend.
