ILKLEY & DISTRICT u3a
Refreshments: Free tea or coffee available.
After the talk a smaller party of 25 will be able to join a guided walk looking at some of the properties mentioned in the presentation. If undertaking the walk is important to you, it is suggested you check the link to the walk first to see if there is space available.
About the walk Suggest participants can bring a packed lunch or buy one in the Clarke-Foley Café. The distance from the Clarke-Foley centre to the start of the walk (which is at the junction of Eaton Road and Parish Ghyll Drive) is 500 metres, walking uphill. Provided it is running, you could catch the 961 bus at 12.47 to get you to the starting point. Then the walk proper is 1.5 miles looking at the houses plus an extra 0.5 miles back to central Ilkley. This route is predominantly flat or downhill. Wear comfortable shoes and bring bus pass.
Alternatively email John Hancock (octopuss@btinternet.com) before the event to order new headphones at £3 cash payable on the day.
