A Walking Tour Of Bradford

  • 20 Aug 2024
  • 10:00 AM
  • Meet at ticket barriers of Forster Square

If you think Bradford is a place of little interest, this visit will change your perception. The legacy of being the textile and woollen centre of the world is very evident in its architecture, much of which still survives. It was one of the richest cities in Europe in the 19th Century and was honoured with city status on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

We will walk at a gentle pace but there are steps and a bit of a hill as we enter Little Germany. We will cover nearly two miles before lunch and a further mile afterwards. So expect to arrive home around 4 pm unless you want to linger over a cup of tea.

Morning coffee in the Midland Hotel and a buffet lunch in the historic restored underground tunnels at Sunbridgewells included in the price. Buy your own drinks at lunch time.
