Short Course: Botanical Art and Illustration

6 fortnightly sessions on Thursday mornings

This is new short course for those who enjoy being creative with Botanical material. It may be the structured discipline of Botanical Illustration or any other type of creative Botanical Art – in any medium that works in our venue.

The programme of the course will be agreed by the members, but initially we will all bring our own materials to work with and from. In time we might include some member-led sessions on a variety of themes and/or outdoor visits.

The aim is to provide a supportive and friendly space for us all to work in our own ways with friendly support/advice if needed but certainly never judgemental. In u3a fashion, we will all learn from each other.

You don’t need any experience in Botanic Art to join the course; it will be equally suitable for beginners – just an interest in the subject is fine.

The intial demand for this course has far exceeded expectations.

Therefore it has required the organiser to hire a room which in turn requires a change in date and time of the meetings. So six sessions held fortnightly at 10 am from Thursday 28th March through to Thursday 6th June.

There will now be a small charge for room hire, details of which will be communicated once we know how many are able to attend the revised dates.
