
This is an invitation for u3a members to register for 8 weekly sessions of Pilates 1 starting on Thursday 13th July at 1pm. The cost is £24 payable in advance.
We are delighted that Ilkley Tennis Club has agreed to continue hosting our U3A fitness sessions for another round of 8 weekly sessions.
The other activities available are:
- Moving Freely starts Tuesday 11th July
- Pilates 1 starts Thursday 13th July
- Pilates 2 starts Thursday 13th July
- Silver Spin starts Friday 14th July
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.
Due to its popularity Pilates is divided into two sessions - 1pm and 2pm on Thursdays. The registration from here is for the Pilates 1pm session. Go back to the events list if you are interested in any of the other activities.
Note that you need to be a member of our u3a to take part. You can join via the link below.
If you haven’t filled in one already you will need to complete a Tennis Club health questionnaire so please arrive early for your first session.
