Last year we enjoyed a stroll around Ilkley, taking time to make sketches as we moved around the town centre. This year, we will explore Otley, an interesting historic market town with many fascinating old buildings etc to explore.
This session will suit anyone with an interest in urban sketching; you do not need any previous experience or ability to join us. There will be no tuition involved, just the constructive support of fellow sketchers. We just aim to have fun wandering and sketching with friends.
Please bring: a sketch pad + drawing materials of your choice. Please wear comfortable footwear to cope with cobbled streets and clothing appropriate for the weather. We hope to have a ‘Plan B’ in case of rain, so still turn up, if wet. You may wish to bring a drink and nibbles to keep you going.
Meet: 10.30am in the Otley Memorial Gardens, at the junction of Bondgate and Crossgate (LS21 3AB). It is near the bus station. There are many car parks in the town or you could use Sainsbury’s car park, which is free for up to 4 hours. (Please don’t use Waitrose, as it is only free for 90 minutes.) We will aim to finish around 12.30.
