Introduction to Padel Tennis
Free half hour introductions to Padel tennis. The club is kindly offering the loan of equipment and also going to explain basic rules and give some instruction.
Padel is a form of tennis that is easy to play, fun and extremely sociable. It is played mainly in a doubles format on an enclosed court about a third of the size of a tennis court and, because it is not a power-based game can be played in mixed groups of all abilities. The rules are broadly the same as tennis, though players serve underarm and walls are an integral part of the game, with the ball allowed to bounce off them, as in squash.
To see how Padel is played go to www.skiptontennis.com and scroll down to the Padel section and select LEARN MORE. Scroll down again to find an excellent two minute instructional video on this fast developing sport.
There are four half hour sessions starting at 10.30, 11.00, 11.30 and 12.00 each for six u3a members. You are welcome to watch the other sessions.
