This is a very expanded and fully illustrated reprise of a talk given two years ago. It is accepted that the coming of the railways affected every aspect of life for all classes during Queen Victoria’s reign. In this presentation I shall look in more detail at just how this occurred. There will be a break for tea or coffee (no charge) mid-way through and the talk will be accompanied by two contemporary readings.
