Art of the Roman Empire part 1 of 2 presented by Peter Butler

This first session will look at how art was used to project the power of the emperor and then go on to look at domestic art, particularly in Pompeii.

In the second session on Tuesday 24 November we will look at how the Romans revived the sculptures of classical Greece and will finish by seeing how the arrival of Christianity was represented in Roman art.
