After Easter, many of our indoor groups will cease meeting for a while to give the GLs a well-earned rest and also because attendance can be reduced over the holiday months. For many members, especially those who live alone, this can become a very isolating time as they see their normal diary schedules reduced and they lose the social interactions and friendship that the u3a provides for them.

Addressing this issue is one of the main aims of the Summer Programme – to show that we are active all year and that there is always something going on throughout the year, which members can anticipate and enjoy. 

We have a team of volunteers ready to plan the SP schedule (website, communications etc), and I have offered to co-ordinate the process for 2024, so I am asking you to consider contribututing to the 2024 Summer Programme which this year will run from mid June until the end of August. So pleanty of dates from which to choose.

If you would like to organise a session and help to make the summer programme a great success again in 2024 please complete the attached pro-forma and return to me as soon as possible but no later than 31st March. Either complete and email the electronic document, but if that does not suit, there is a PDF version to complete by hand and post to me.
