Description:

Do you enjoy art in all its various formats? Would you like to learn more and to share your own enthusiasm with others?

Not being experts in art, this is not a taught course in art history, and we do not usually rely on invited expert non-U3A speakers. Instead, members of the group volunteer to run the sessions, exploring aspects of the subjects that fascinate them -thus we will all gain through researching topics and presenting them to others.

Group members also get involved with arranging visits to galleries, exhibitions and events so that we actually meet more often than the scheduled fortnightly meetings. Because many galleries close on Mondays (our meeting day), we quite often arrange ad hoc visits on other days of the week and members participate if their diaries allow.

Times:

Monday afternoons 2:30pm – 4:30pm every fortnight.

This season starts on 30 September 2024 and resumes post-Christmas on 6 January 2025.

Please note that this group meets on alternate weeks with the Architecture Appreciation group to allow members to join both groups if they wish.
