Description: | The Travel Group meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from September to April. Indoor meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month. The programme alternates between indoor meetings with a visiting speaker followed by a full day excursion to stimulating places of interest (often to venues that are difficult to access individually and which members may not have considered) a fortnight later. Members are expected to join in most of our planned activities. This popular and successful group also makes longer visits to interesting locations in the UK and abroad. There will be an extended visit to Essex & Suffolk in May 2027 and to Northern France in September. |

2026 Indoor Meetings & Lectures: September 8th, October13th, November 10th Visits: September 22nd, October 27th, November 24th, December 8th Christmas visit to Ordsall Hall followed by festive lunch at The Abel Heywood. 2027 Indoor Meetings & lectures: January 12th February 9th, March 9th April 13th followed by a social lunch. Visits: January 26th February 23rd March 23rd |
| Cost: | £25.00 joining fee to cover the cost of indoor meetings - room hire, speakers' fees. There will be an additional charge for visits to include coach hire, entry fees, specialist guides and refreshments. |
