Do you love to sing but are concerned that you are not “good enough” for a more formal choir? We sing just for the joy of it. No concerts to prepare for, no audience to judge us. No commitment to come to every meeting. A small relaxed fortnightly singing group of 20+ members. We sing popular songs from yesteryear. Suggestions for additions to the programme are welcome. Every session is run by a "Chairman" accompanied by a pianist. They will organise the songs we are going to sing. Song sheets will be produced and handed round and/or we sing from screen projection to electronic musical part. No musical knowledge is required. We sing together, not in parts. Occasionally a small group of the members go as a "Concert Party" to Care Homes, as part of the 4th Age outreach programme. There is no commitment for every members to do this. Sessions are on alternate Mondays from 14:00 to about 16:00, early departure for Grand Parent duty is permitted!. There is a refreshment break at the interval. |

Payment is by cash. Fee (£10 for a season) covers the cost of venue, printing, props and cakes!! |
