Description:

A team of 4 compete in a pub style quiz via zoom against other u3a groups across the UK.  That may sound like an impossible task to organise but the process is remarkably smooth and quite addictive. Ayr u3a are the hosts and have been running the quiz since lockdown. Ilkley & District only started to enter a team earlier in 2023.

Each quiz consists of 60 questions split over six rounds. The use of break out rooms gives the team a forum to debate the answers which are transmitted electronically to the organisers. Answers and regular updates on the scores are given throughout the evening to keep everyone on their toes. Some of the teams are really competitive. Ours has a more laid back attitude! 

We have a core group of nine players so we are now going to enter a second team. Always happy to hear from others that might be interested, either as reserve team members or maybe create a third team at some future date.
