Play Reading

Description:

This easy-going group will offer an enjoyable way to bring a play to life without the stress of learning lines, lengthy rehearsals and being in the spotlight on stage!  More fun than a book group and with no homework to feel guilty about forgetting! No experience required. 

We read a wide variety of plays by authors such as Alan Ayckbourn, Tom Stoppard, JB Priestley, Neil Simon etc. Members are also welcome to suggest plays.

Availability: This group is likely to be full. If you are an existing member please contact the group leader (link below) and enquire about the possibility of joining the group once a vacancy arises. Venue:

Link Room, Ben Rhydding Methodist Church Hall, Ben Rhydding Drive, Ilkley LS29 8AY (access from car park at rear of church)

Times:

Fortnightly on Mondays from 1:45pm to 4:15pm (finish may sometimes be earlier, depending on length of the play).

We take a break during the summer months, re-starting on October 2nd 2023 and then fortnightly

Cost:  Approx £16 per term (depending on number of members) for room and playset hire.
