Name:

Local Landmarks & Lunch

Description:

This is an outdoor local history group. It has been set up to visit local towns, villages and landmarks on the basis that individual members research the location(s) and lead the respective outing there, as well as finding a suitable hostelry for lunch. It is an early/mid summer activity designed to run before the annual holiday season in August.

Variable walking is involved and the extent of it depends on the locations visited. The length of day depends on the locations visited and the distance travelled.

Organisers:

Robin LeLeux

Venue:

Meet at the day's excursion venue as announced.

Times:

5 fortnightly meetings from late May through to July, gathering at the day’s venue (previously announced and members book in or send apologies) at 10am. Venues are chosen each time by a member who also arranges the pub lunch to round off the morning. Members are asked to bring their u3a tour guide headphones as this system is regularly used.

Cost:  Pub lunch to be bought on each outing.
