Name: |
Great Novels |
Description: |
Members take it in turns to present a novel for discussion, drawing on a wide selection of authors, periods and cultures. Some novels will already be regarded as classics, others may have dwindled into obscurity or never achieved widespread recognition, but we always enjoy a thought provoking and entertaining session. Novels for the coming year range from 'Daniel Deronda' (George Eliot) to 'Flaubert's Parrot (Julian Barnes) and from 'Passing' (Nella Larsen) to 'Pereira Maintains' (Antonio Tabucchi). New members are not expected to lead the class in the first year unless they wish to! |
