Description:

We meet every Monday morning to have informal conversations in French. A reasonably good level of French is required and an interest and the desire to speak it.

The topics of our conversations are ad hoc and varied- but often include current affairs (local, UK, France, World), recent or forthcoming holidays, food and wine, etc. There is no teacher or 'chair' - we just chat like any group of friends meeting for a coffee, the only difference being the chat is predominantly in French. We simply help each other out when searching for an unfamiliar French word and there's always someone on hand with a dictionary on their phone/tablet.Given its informal friendly nature, members come along when they can. Unlike a course it isn't necessary to attend each week. 

We have occasional evening social events such as wine-tasting and a Christmas meal.
