Are you interested in the art of beautiful writing? – that is what ‘Calligraphy’ means. You may have seen ancient illuminated manuscripts or modern beautiful calligraphy somewhere and wondered how it is done? This a new-for-2025 group of people who would like to explore the art and try it themselves. We do NOT have an expert tutor, so we will (in true u3a fashion) attempt to work as a self-directed group, using our own materials and instruction books etc and try our hand at doing something that approaches calligraphy. No doubt we will have a wide range of experience and aptitudes, but hopefully with constructive discussion and advising, we will learn from each other and all make significant progress. |

Times: |
Thursday afternoons, every fortnight from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. This season starts on 2 October 2025 and then meets every two weeks on even weeks. |
| Cost: | TBC - it will just be your share of the venue hire fee, so will depend on numbers. You will also need a supply of materials and instruction books or web-site print-offs. |
