A warm welcome to Catherine Stevenson, a member of Newcastle u3a. This talk has been recommended by Jean Smith who saw Catherine give her presentation as part of the national u3a talks programme.

The talk will be mapping the history of fairy tales through history and art as well as adding the odd spell or two. Hissing and booing are optional and look to check if it’s behind you!

Catherine travels through time to the present day, visiting some of the important stages in the development of fairy tales. Be prepared to uncover new territory around these old favourites.

Jean writes that she found it particularly enjoyable because of the depth and range of content and illustrations, the entertaining graphics and the way in which Catherine threw herself into her presentation.
