Mike writes: For those who saw the film "Peterloo" you'll remember one of the central characters was Samuel Bamford who was charged with treason at the Old Bailey. One of a number interesting ancestors, the talk describes not only Samuel, but includes my paternal grandfather and his life as a Conscientious Objector. It includes my great uncle who performed to Royalty as a well-known Musical Hall celebrity under the stage name of Professor Arvi and my father’s role in Radar during the Second World War.
