Creating Bradford's reservoirs with a 32 mile pipe presented by Norman Simpson

An invitation to join Norman Simpson as he explains to a joint meeting of the Science & Technology Groups how Bradford’s rapid growth during the 19th century demanded an ever increasing water supply.

The Corporation needed to look far and wide to satisfy requirements, necessitating challenging solutions to both harness and transport the precious resource from as far away as upper Nidderdale.

Members of the Science Groups have priority for attending this event, so the availability of places for members of the wider U3A is initially more restricted than normal.
