Name:

Walking Photographic Skills

Description:

This  group is intended to cater for the needs of enthusiastic amateurs looking to improve their photography by working on a series of challenges on location. Places are limited to 20 members initially.
Members should be regular users of DSLR or CSC cameras and be familiar with their camera’s settings although not necessarily totally confident in their use. Members may also need a tripod, computer and suitable photo-processing software. Other suggestions for equipment will be sent out with the details of each meeting.
We aim to learn from each other and look for new photographic opportunities. All members should be ready to accept constructive comments on their work which will be shared via a closed Flickr group with occasional Zoom photo reviews.

Organisers:

Kevin Reid

Venue:

We aim to visit locations within about 45 minutes’ drive of Ilkley and will share cars where possible. No dogs to be allowed on outings.

The group will finish each shoot with a short visit to a tearoom/café/pub where possible. Occasional Zoom meetings to review recent photos.

Times:

Tuesday 2nd November 2021 and then monthly. July and August meetings could depend on numbers available to attend and organise.  Times to be arranged but generally about 10:30am and expected to have a duration of about 2 hours.  Some members may offer to organise and run some meetings.

Cost:

No charge unless a location fee is required which will be announced in advance and shared by attendees.  There will be a limit of 20 members plus the event leader.  Some locations might have a reduced capacity to avoid being an obstacle to other walkers, if this is so it will be announced in advance.
