Crime Readers "Books to Die For"

An appreciation, appraisal and critical assessment of crime novels and authors by a  group of crime reading enthusiasts. Discussions are based on themes and authors with no set texts. Meetings  allow for interactive discussion along with small group sessions on specific topics.  We review news of author events and consideration of "new blood" i.e. authors not previously known to group members.  During the season we choose two books to read showing the film adaptation thereafter to compare and contrast.   Trips to author events, writing festivals, and cinema and theatre showings are arranged. Guest speakers and published authors have been invited and spoken to group meetings.
